Why did I become a product designer?
I always had an eye for good design and not-so-good design. During my 20 something's search for purpose and motivation, I found my way to the product design career track. I genuinely love solving problems through aesthetic and impactful design. I find my work really rewarding and the continuous learning lifts my energy to put my passion to the pixels.

What motivates me to design?
I care most about the people who aren't making all the decisions. Growing up in a non-techy small town and now learning and growing in the tech world of SF, I am uniquely exposed to the disparities between marginalized communities and their counterparts (specifically in tech). My mission is to lower the barrier of entry into tech literacy through inclusive and accessible design.

In 2019, my team won at the European Innovation Academy in Cascais, PT. We use a patented process to turn natural materials and PET plastic waste into affordable, sustainable paper packaging. Notable beauty industry businesses, including Kendo and Beautylish, provided LOIs. Our pitch also earned us valuable accelerator and mentorship opportunities.

I wanted to build more with my hands, so I picked up pottery late 2022, and I've been loving it since. I make plates, planters, mugs, and bowls. I enjoy being a creator in the potter community and it's a great way to flex my artistic muscles with a new medium. Looking for new studio recommendations in SF!
